Ivory & Timber Bridal began with a simple question: Should I even wear a veil?
Nearly 25 years ago, preparing for my first wedding, nothing felt right. Every veil I tried was too stiff, too full, and too heavy. I envisioned the quiet, timeless elegance of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy—something soft and understated. In the end, my mum made mine. It was light and beautifully simple, and a friend even borrowed it for her own wedding day.
I never expected to be a bride again. Then I met my husband, and everything changed.
The Search, Again
Yet, when it came time to choose a veil for our wedding, the search felt frustratingly familiar. Everything changed when I discovered a remarkably soft, fluid tulle. Finished with raw-cut edges, it fell naturally and uninterrupted.
I wore what is now our Whisper Veil on my wedding day, and then listed the few extra pieces online. They sold within hours. Hearing the relief and joy from those brides was a revelation.
That is when I realised how many women were searching for the exact same thing: a veil that feels like a whisper, not a distraction.
